Mom holding her newborn daughter

Hi, my name is Liz! I’m a working mom of three young kids and the person behind the ‘Pink Prerogative’. I had this idea right before my middle child turned one. To say that his first year didn’t absolutely rock my world is a gross understatement. I’m not sure how I survived it to be quite honest. After having one of the hardest years of my life, between juggling his severe colic and reflux, moving back in with my mom several states away, postpartum depression and anxiety, imposter syndrome, mom guilt, lack of sleep, work challenges, and zero support from my team and coworkers regarding being a ‘mom’, I decided to start this endeavor.

I plan to share all the troubles I went through, what helped and what didn’t, and give you my version of raw motherhood. I plan to cover a wide range of topics, from pregnancy and childbirth to parenting tips and self-care. My goal is to provide you with the tools and support you need to navigate the ups and downs of motherhood with confidence.

I remember spending hours going down the Google rabbit hole while I was in the trenches of postpartum, wishing and praying someone was going through something similar so I could have some guidance on how to proceed. I hope this helps any moms going through similar battles and brings voices together.

I hope to help all other moms or parents who are going through similar battles. I plan to share it all — the good, the bad and the ugly – and what I did to navigate the challenges.

I understand that every mother is unique and faces her own set of challenges, but I also know that my challenges may not be so different from what others are experiencing. Motherhood can be extremely lonely, and with influencers focusing on posting the beautiful moments, it can make us mothers feel like we are doing something wrong. I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where all moms can feel supported and empowered, no matter what stage they are in. I plan on sharing the beautiful moments and also the not-so-glamorous moments. Whether you're a new or seasoned mom, a working mom, a single mom, or anything in between, you are welcome here.

I do want to caveat this by saying that I am just a mom that did (and currently does) a lot of research to overcome the difficulties in my journey. I am in no way, shape or form providing any medical advice, but merely sharing what others told me and what worked for me and what didn't. Please consult with your doctor if you have any specific questions or concerns.

In addition to informative articles, the website is easy to navigate and mobile-friendly, making it convenient for moms on the go. I understand that as a mom, your time is precious, so I want to make it as easy as possible for you to access the support and resources you need. Please join us at The Pink Prerogative and discover a community of empowered moms who are here to uplift and support one another. Together, we can navigate the beautiful chaos of motherhood with strength, grace, and dignity.
